Tarta introduces a new concept of backrest.
Active is lightweight but at the same time robust, being made of a single aluminum shell. It is designed to provide an extremely comfortable feeling thanks to the new design. Active comes with a complete range of backrests with different heights, widths, and depths, designed to meet the needs of all users and offering easy and fast wheelchair attachment solutions.
The realization of the Active project aims to complete a product line, getting closer and closer to the demands of users and healthcare professionals. Thanks to the side inserts, it will be possible to add, move, and adapt up to 4 pads, thus meeting any need.
Comfort
The pad is made of soft foam and ensures optimal comfort. The covers are made of breathable technical fabric, can be removed, and are machine washable.
Robustness
Made with a single aluminum shell, ACTIVE ensures durability and stability.
Simplicity
ACTIVE is characterized by a linear and simple style. Combined with the black color, the backrest focuses on a design that combines beauty and ergonomics.
Lightness
Thanks to the aluminum and the reduced thickness of the backrest, ACTIVE contributes to keeping the wheelchair’s weight as low as possible.
Trunk side supports
The design of the new ACTIVE backrest provides the possibility of attaching trunk side supports. On both sides of the backrest shell, there are guides for mounting the pads.
The design of the backrest guides and the slots of the pads allows for multiple adjustments. In addition, the button applied to the pad allows its opening to facilitate the user’s transfer.
Height
33cm / 41cm / 48cm
Available in various heights (33-41- 48cm). The size should be chosen based on the user’s height, pathology, and the amount of support required. The low backrest is suitable for individuals with balance and good trunk control, while the high backrest is designed for those who need more support and assistance.
Size
Small / Medium / Large / Extralarge
The backrest is available in 4 widths: Small / Medium, Large, and Extra Large, from a minimum of 27 cm to a maximum of 49 cm.
It is recommended to consider the user’s t-shirt size and select the corresponding backrest.
Fit
Standard
The backrest is available in a single fit of 7 cm.
It is possible to apply side supports of two sizes:
Size 1: Height 110mm / Depth 105mm
Size 2: Height 110mm / Depth 130mm
Adjustable attachments for wheelchair
Rigid / Foldable
The backrest has 2 different attachments depending on the type of wheelchair. An attachment for folding wheelchairs, consisting of an height adjustable central hardware fixed to a crossbar to be attached to the back tubes of the wheelchair. An attachment for rigid wheelchairs, consisting of an height adjustable central hardware. In both cases, the backrest can be easily removed, and the wheelchair folded.
