Thanks to Tarta’s many years of experience, the R&D team has created the new line of postural cushions to provide very high skin protection along with great stability and excellent comfort. The Action cushion, with its cylinders of different density foam, allows modifying the cushion’s structure to adapt it to the user’s postural needs. It can be configured with a pre-ischiatic block to reduce forward sliding, create a pelvic hollow, accommodate pelvic asymmetries, create recesses for the femurs, and promote abduction or adduction, and much more.

“T” – Shaped movement
Airy Action is a postural cushion of great stability and excellent comfort. The combination of the cushion design and the cover technology creates continuous air recycling, allowing for high breathability. Holes and grooves have been added to facilitate the passage of air both vertically and horizontally.
The use of breathable fabric in combination with 3D fabric creates a correct microclimate. The contoured base has been designed to accommodate different foam cylinders to be adapted to the various needs of the user.
The particular T-shaped form of the longitudinal section is designed to allow micro-movements and reduce cutting forces. The design of the horizontal holes allows both immersion and load distribution to provide the correct support where needed to facilitate movement and daily activities. The vertical holes, in combination with the breathable cover and the 3D layer placed above and below the cushion structure, allow 360° air circulation through the cushion.

Microclimate control
Microclimate control is universally recognized as a fundamental factor for user comfort and the prevention of skin problems, including pressure injuries.
The skin must be kept clean and dry. Temperature and humidity control are crucial factors for the user’s well-being. Thermoregulation problems can arise as a result of conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, and spinal injuries.
There are cases where the user remains seated for a long time on devices, such as passive wheelchairs, where air circulation is limited by armrests, cushions, and very enveloping backrests. Finally, the particularly high ambient temperature in certain areas of the world, where summer temperatures reach very high peaks, makes managing body temperature challenging even in situations of perfect physical efficiency and normal mobility.
Tarta’s response is a highly breathable cushion aimed at controlling temperature and humidity.
